Morototo (Didymopanax, morototoni)
Origin: Central and South America
Range: Growing in Mexico, all of Central America and tropical South America.
Uses: Primarily used in the pulp and paper industry as well as for boxes and crates.
Properties: This moderately heavy wood is white to a light cream in color. The sapwood is not demarcated. The grain is quite subtle.
Machining: It machines quite easily with no blunting effects.
Seasoning: Dries easily with little chance of checking or warping.
