Range: In temperate rainforests of southern Chile and adjacent western Argentina at elevations between 2000-6000 feet. Uses: Fence posts, construction, cabinet making, fine reproduction of English furniture
Properties: Manio is a coniferous specie which is resistant to rot. The wood is hard and straight grained with similarities to the taxus specie. Durable when in contact with ground or water.
Machining: Machines easily with all tools.
Seasoning: Dries quickly and easily with no distortion.
