Range:  Brazil, Venezuela, Columbia

Uses:  Ship building, general construction, cabinetry, paneling.

Properties:  The tan-pink, brown-red heartwood is straight grained with a fine texture. The wood is of medium density, low stiffness with medium crushing strength as well as bending capabilities.

Machining:  Works easily with hand and machine tools.

Seasoning:  Dries Rapidly without difficulty.
