Uses: Boat building, furniture, cabinetry, flooring paneling and decorative veneers.
Properties: A golden-brown to reddish brown specie with dark blackish streaks occurring intermittingly. The wood is hard, heavy and durable.
Machining: Difficult to work with a lot of tear-out in the grain.
Seasoning: Should be dried very slowly in order to avoid checking and warping.
