Uses: Fishing poles, shelters, flooring, furniture, paneling, shades, etc.
Properties: Botanically classified as a grass but has wood-like characteristics. A hard, strong elastic specie which splits easily. Having a natural straw-like color it can be carbonized by controlled heating and becomes caramel colored.
Machining: Machines satisfactorily.
Seasoning: Careful controlled drying should be done in order to avoid linear spliiting and achieving minor degrade.
